In Memory of Deborah

The Lively Set website
is dedicated to the memory of one of our brightest stars
Ms Deborah Walley

Deborah Walley passed away on 10th May 2001. She had just returned to her home in Sedona, Arizona, after spending a month at a clinic in Mexico where she was undergoing treatment for cancer.

Deborah was an amazing woman who never lost faith that she would recover. "I believe the mind and spirit are the most important to one's healing and my spirit is strong and my outlook is positive," she told me in March 2001. "All the love I am receiving from friends and fans is overwhelming."

Deborah Walley dedicated her life to being a happy, healthy, positive human being who shed love and light wherever she went, in whatever she did.

Whether it was illuminating the screen in bright, breezy '60s movies; or raising her sons as loving, caring individuals; or creating an award-winning short film steeped in inspirational messages; or writing meaningful children's books; or sparking the imagination of kids all around the world through her tireless, selfless participation in educational theater, Deborah spent every day of her life spreading a little sunshine.

And I know she'll continue to do so. Deborah believed in angels, and to me, she was one. She may have left this Earth, but her spirit remains.

Shine brightly, Deborah! And thank you, from all of us, for being here.

"It makes me look back on my career [and] I go 'You know there was a good reason, and what I did was a good thing.' It made people happy, and it's still going on today, and so I am pleased and proud, and so grateful to all the fans that communicate with me, those that think about me. My heart is full of gratitude." Deborah Walley, December 2000
